How to reverse the direction of rotation?
In the event of a card replacement, it may be necessary to perform a reversal. The reversal is done electrically, directly on the motor wires (24 V) or on the opening/closing wires (230 V).
Procedure with 24 V BFT motors
- The 24 V motors work in one direction or the other depending on the polarity applied.
- There are only 2 motor wires, so we simply reverse + and –.
Steps
- Turn off the power supply to the system (safety).
- Locate the two motor wires (often M1+/M1– or M+/M–).
- Swap the two wires :
- The wire connected to the + passes over the –
- The wire connected to the – passes over the +
4. Restart a self-learning / autoset procedure if the card requires it.
5. Test the opening/closing.
Procedure with BFT motors in 230 V
The reversal is done via the "opening" and "closing" wires.
Steps
- Turn off the general power.
- Locate the motor terminals:
- Terminals 10 and 12, for a right-hand opening, the black wire must be on terminal 10 and the brown one on terminal 12. For a left-hand opening, the black wire on terminal 12 and the brown wire on terminal 10.
3. Swap the motor opening and closing wires.
- See above, and reverse the wires on terminals 10 and 12.
4. Check the capacitor wiring (it remains unchanged).
5. Power back on and test.
